We recently caught
up with some of our 2010 graduates to find out about the diverse and
exciting range of projects they've embarked on.
DAMIEN
SCHNEIDER, Animation
Currently working on freelance
projects, Damien has animated several shots for a monster movie promo
trailer and has recently finished animating prehistoric crocodiles for a 'walking with dinosaurs'
style documentary segment. Prior to this, Damien was in Sydney working on
'Happy Feet Two' as a Technical Animator, and also produced the majority
of the animated content for the 'Inside
the World of Dinosaurs' iPad app, Narrated by Stephen
Fry.
JASON
ENDFIELD, Entertainment Business
Jason is Assistant to the boss of one
of the world's top talent management companies - Untitled Entertainment,
which represents talent such as Ashton
Kutcher, Madonna
and Naomi Watts.
Working from his office in the heart of Beverly Hills, California,
Jason's role is to secure new projects for them which includes reading
through mounds of scripts. Jason credits JMC Academy for giving him the
confidence and the knowledge needed to not only get into the industry,
but to secure work at a company of the calibre of Untitled Entertainment.
JEMMA
GORRING, Film and Television
Lucid Living Pictures,
the company founded by Jemma, celebrates its first birthday this month!
The past year has kept her super busy with the production of several
short films including 'Tomorrow
we grow up' and 'Grant
the polite guy' screened at Shorts on the Green Gold
Coast Film Festival last year. Jemma also ran her own film festival
called INSPIRED along with another filmmaker just last month. It screened
to a big turnout at the Gold Class cinemas at Chermside in Brisbane. If
that hasn't kept Jemma busy enough, she's also just landed a full time
role as Lorna Jane's Multimedia and Video Production Coordinator doing
all of their exciting video production work.
